Re: ES Hutter saved VATTEL'S LAW OF NATIONS
YEP! The Hutter Bros & JB Ward ("BP") were COUSINS... and they use to play together as kids on grandpa James Beverly Risque's farm/plantation, Hunter's Hill... near New London (WAS Campbell County, NOW Bedford County, Va.) As adults, the Hutter Bros (CSA) & JB Ward conspired to do a COVER STORY for the CSA "assets" ($$$$$$$ & weapons), known as THE BEALE PAPERS, based on true events in the EARLY 1800's, CONFEDERATE WAR, etc. THE HART PAPERS gave us MORE info w/o the EARLY 1800's "events" (written in 1952); GOLD IN THE BLUE RIDGE was a REAL "eye-opener", and started the "madness" (1964), and PV (RIP) did a GREAT job to get a REAL stampede! Fortunately, the REAL story was beginning to "emerge" with his CONFEDERATE TREASURE COVERUP book. Coffee? Gonna plant later today... 8)

Reb,
Just checking in, seems you've already been doing, "a lot of planting".
Hear the weather up there is "like spring" already. Won't be too much longer before you'll be slapping mosquitoes and dodging sunburn.

What also needs to be noted is E S HUTTERS command in DANVILLE,Va on April 3,1865 and how he aided the flight of Jefferson Davis and the CSA Cabinet and the remaining assets of the Confedrate Treasury. There exists many connections not mentioned here.
For a quick overview:
LIVELY ROOTS Edward Sixtus Hutter [10022]

WHY DID HUTTER SAVE THIS COPY OF VATTLE"S LAW OF NATIONS?
First published 1758 in French, then in English in 1760,1793,and 1797.Benjamin Franklin has three original French copies and later noted that all the members of the first Congress had copies of the book.LAW OF NATIONS was an influence on Jefferson,Washington,Hamilton,Madison, and Monroe, and many of its themes made their way into the DOI and CONSTITUTION.
While Vattel rejected the social contract concepts of Hobbes and Locke (which also influenced the founding fathers),Vattel put forth the concepts of "natural born citizen" and "JUST WAR THEORY".
Vattel's book was NOT RARE in 1860's United States-which brings forth the questions-"Why was saving this particular book important and WHO had owned this particular copy?".
Hutter aided Jefferson Davis and cabinet during their flight from Richmond on the Dannville train,April 3,1865,which also contained papers and documents of the Confederacy and the remaining assets of the CSA Treasury.
In addition to Davis and his wife where CSA Sec of State/Treasury Judah P Benjamin and CSA Sec of War John C Breckinridge(US VP under Buchanan also ran againsy Lincoln)-All had personal copies of Vattle's LAW OF NATIONS.
Whose copt did Hutter save?
Why was it important to save?
Did it contain notes or was it a crucial key to a code? (J P Benjamin also ran the blockade activities of the CSA and most important the CSA SECRET SERVICE that employed codes)?
If so,is it related to the Beale treasure or the KGC ?

CSA Major E S Hutter was entrusted with compromising papers and documents of the Confederacy and to burn them before they could fall into Union hands. He set fire to the warehouse where they were stored, using kerocene ,but only saved Judah P Benjamins copy of Vattles LAW OF NATIONS.
Benjamin ran the CSA Secret Service spy network and used ciphers.
Yes,maybe both.

YEP! And HIS copy MAY have been in French... dunno. There ARE words in French in THE BEALE PAPERS, you know. Which MAY be "code words"...

HAPPENSTANCE,COINCIDENCE,DELIBERATE ACTION?
Two other events need to be noted that occured that April 1865 in Danville in addition to CSA Major E S Hutter's saving Benjamin's copy of Vattel.
First the burial of CSA Lt Robert S Jones(18th Virginia Regiment "Danville Blues") in the Green Hill Cemetary. It has been claimed that 40 kegs of Mexican silver dollars from the CSA Treasury off loaded from the Danville train, were also intered in Jones large burial plot.
Second was the "random" blowing up of Danville's CONFEDERATE ARSENAL.
Could all three of these events be related since in time of war it is said that coincidences do not exist?

The Beale Treasure is rumored to be CSA Treasury in coffins transported by train to Bedford County, Va., according to Peter Viemeister in SEVERAL of HIS books on the Beale Treasure. It was supposedly buried in a barn, after being off-loaded at Thaxton Switch, up in the hills, near Peaks of Otter. THIS info is congruent with the HART PAPERS, in which N. Hazlewood (ex-CSA, Sgt.), POSSIBLE CSA Spy... who stated "it" was buried near HIS home; near Peaks of Otter (ALL FED land, now). ANOTHER rumor is that "it" is buried UNDER THE LION'S HEAD, which I DID find at the Peaks...

Burial under the "remains of a CSA Warrior, makes sense (Danville, Va.); who would DARE... to disturb "the DEAD"...? Like Danville, Va., Lynchburg, Va. ALSO has HUGE burial section in Old City Cemetery for CSA Warriors; like Danville... with a HUGH Mound, and all; SPOOKY!

There does seem to be Confederate/KGC subterfuge surrounding the Beale Pamphlet-from the incidents and people at Danville,April 1865-to the codes employed- to who actually wrote it.
