I agree, with you Bigscoop. It was a desperate reach to place John Wilkes Booth into the Beale story because the "description fits perfectly" to that of Beale and he had important business in Richmond. :laughing7:
Let's regress a tad, Booth as Beale, then Lafitte as Beale, then a Jackson Ward Alderman born in 1823 named Beale, and it seems now you have returned to Lafitte as Beale.
One can create all these different theories, "connexions', and "Beales", because the copyrighted 1885 Beale Papers is and always will be a work of fiction.
No story behind the story, just a dime novel created for profit.
I admit that I am a tad bit curious on what gave you the bright idea that there "HAS" to be a story behind the story?
