There are about 20 cypher s that are different. Most are like two numbers as one or one number separated into two. Very similar. If you can decipher either one you could also decipher the other just as easy.

Have not done do... YOU...?

Yes. I have deciphered the given codes. They are not decipherable. If they had been I would have gotten a complete full text. I was only able to get two of every three cyphers correctly with the same letter on the same cypher. Had they been true codes, I would have deciphered them. But they are not real. The codes are only made up to make a story look better.

Read SOMEWHERE that Bro. Dan Cole was descended from Bro. George Hart, Jr. & had the ciphers "solved"; maybe some kind of "Masonic Code"; personally, I doubt it...

The three cypher codes are made up for a story. There is no decipherment that can be correct.

Well, Bro. Dan Cole tried... http://bealesolved.tripod.com/. I have read another source on this "case" with OTHER names mentioned; will look for it. May have been on the other web-site where YOU were "Global Moderator"; THOSE were "interesting" days, ALSO! HEH!

BOOK: 100 Puzzles, Clues, Maps, Tanalizing Tales & Stories of REAL Treasures by Michael Stadther; Chapter 3, Unfound Treasure - The Beale Ciphers pg. 17-27. Steven Ninichuck reported that Dan Cole solved it from a Masonic Ritual along with Gary Hutchinson, a local businessman. It was on Goose Creek SOUTH within 4 miles of Buford's, & they looked around, at the BASE of Porter's Mountain, finding SOME items of "interest" (as seen on their video; BEALE CIPHER SOLVED Beale's Vault Found!).

Steven Ninichuck over twenty years ago put up his website about finding the cave and nothing was in it. Dan Cole's "solved" came years later and if they point to the same cave that was found before the decipherment is just wishful thinking. Sorry.

And per your other post George Hart Jr.'s "correct" cihpers are the same ciphers that were given by George Hart Sr.

Well, wonder if THAT cave was the ORIGINAL one that Beale & Associates considered; rejected b/c local farmers used it for veggies storage...

No. The original is on US 460 just before you get to Buford's Tavern as you are traveling East. It is up behind the car shredder. Only problem the people owning the land where the car shredder is located bulldozed and covered the entrance over about ten years ago. There is another entrance on the other end of the valley but I have not located it yet. Since the other entrance is four miles from Buford's they could have hidden the treasure there. That is if the story really happened.

YOU have LOTS of "Foot on the Ground" experience; have mixed feelings/thoughts on the WHOLE "Beale Story"...

NHH must have gotten the ciphers/numbers from the BPP; asking CH to "copy them" telling him that the NUMBERS alluded to a treasure near the base of the PoO... near his land. FACTS: PoO is NOT near Beale Tavern/Locust Level, Bufordsville, nor Buford's Station (RR)/Montvale; CH altered the NUMBERS abit, & ORIGINALLY, NHH alluded to NO "Beale Story", as in the BPP; went along with it later. CH & his brother GH from Roanoke, Va. looked for it per HP. INTERESTING "alternative" to the ORIGINAL "Beale Story"... SHOULDA kept your GOLD cover Paper-Back book by PB & W Innis. MORE, later... about the "COVER-STORY"!

Yes, but the best question is why did NHH have CH to make a copy of the sheets of paper? Were they worn out badly? Had NHH borrowed them from a relative that had the ironbox? Also CH asked NHH could he make a copy for himself. There is a copy of the original out there. There is also a manuscript book that CH wrote but never did print? Wonder if there is a copy at the Library of Congress? Sure would like to get back on the ground up there a lot to check out.

NHH alluded to a treasure near his land (Bufordsville) that he wanted the copies for; NOT sure where NHH got the numbers, except from the BPP/JOB PRINT... (released to the General public in 1885). NEVER seen anything of the copy made by CH; NOR anything about the manuscript he did; to my knowledge, it was retained in his family (sister). YOU were into this at the old web-site (YOU were Global Moderator); One WONDERFUL "thread" was HART & HAZLEWOOD, dated Nov. 1, 2008. It was a LIVELY "thread"; have a copy of it...

I think the Ciphers were first, then the "STORY" just "FLESHED" it out as a "COVER-STORY" to "hide" TJ Beale & Associates "assisting" Andrew Jackson in the Cherokee removal... as YOU also mentioned then. Did Joe Duran tell YOU, that story... wasn't HE Cherokee...?

It is ALSO in the GOLD-covered Paper Back book, by Walter & PB Innis.
