anybody wanna go look for the beale treasure over memorial day weekend??

Look, I know this is a long shot, but I am going to smith mountain lake over memorial day weekend, and was wondering if anyone who is informed on the beale treasure want to go look for it. I only know of the legend and not much else, but always thought it would be fun to go on a real treasure hunt... even though we will most likely find nothing, it would be a good hike in general.

(SMILING at the memories) Wife & I rented a place in OLD Moneta back in 2002-2004 (SML) or so; if yer going to Montvale, gonna be a LONG hike... @ 45 minutes & @ 45 miles or so. If yer going to Bedford/Liberty... @ 20 miles or so. NOTHING to FIND; MAYBE to "see". LOL! ENJOY SML; wife & I are gonna take the cruise on Virginia Dare, again... this summer. (WINK)
