I DID read the section on the Beale Treasure... "pinpointed" by Masonic "Reckoning" to be the 3 Peaks of Otter; Sharp Top, Flat Top, & Harkening Hill; "Cerro tres Puntas". Thomas Jefferson surveyed THE PEAKS, thinking that Sharp Top was the highest in Virginia; it wasn't. Gen. Robert E. Lee visited Sharp Top in 1869 (died in 1870), then he & his daughter "over-nighted" with his friend, Paschal Buford. BOTH were US ARMY Vets: Buford - War of 1812, Lee - Mexican War. NOW, Harkening Hill is of GREAT interest, as it has the LION'S HEAD Rock; local lore indicated that the Beale Treasure was buried under the Lion's Head. BELOW the Lion's Head is JOHNSON FARM... ALL FED LAND. Ppl think it was in Johnson's Orchard, near PoO... NOPE! If you go... be CAREFUL, be VERY Careful.
