First thing he's said that's correct. Going after the large treasure is the definition of perilous enterprise. In my letter to the US Attorney I stated that one reason we (myself and those who are working with me) deserve the lions' share vis--vis the government is because of the 'extraordinary dangers' the site presents and that if the government went after it themselves people were going to end up dead.

I'm far more concerned about the snakes that were 'helpfully' left at/near the site. Maybe the snakes died off over the years. We shall see.

I would not relate any dangers to the government on any dig on Federal Land. I know one treasure hunter that was given permission and when they seen that there were fault lines for the heavy equipment to go over they ran him off even though he had a contract. Keep dangers to yourself and good luck.

This dig was on the old road on the west side of the Blue Ridge near Purgatory and Chair Rock Ridge should anyone dare go in those worked out copper mines. Some go 60 to 70 feet deep with levels on down below that, according to our research if the treasure was real it was removed to another location after some men defected and one man became injured. A silver bar was found at this location and photographed but one of the rangers ran off with the silver bar. The treasure hunter left it according to their laws and the ranger took it. I saw a photograph of the silver bar. Whether it came from out West or was mined locally and salted I do not know.

We have everything from TJB being inscribed all over the landscapes to snake roundups. Half the country must have taken part.

It takes but one to claim his ancestor was part of this perilous endeavor, and if this alleged treasure is found, with a good attorney could tie the distribution in the courts forever with claims and counter claims against the recovering body and the government.
A real lawyer would be aware of this.

Franklin's list contained real names of men who lived in Virginia during that time period.
