Not only did Risqué get Treaty payouts, he and General Jackson got all of the treasury from the Royal Mint in Baton Rouge, LA then West Florida and it's own sovereign country within our borders.

Jackson's Florida Campaign was 10 years after the Louisiana Purchase from the French, so how was Gen Andrew Jackson and James Beverly Risqué able to get the Royal Mint treasury?
If this occurred, why was Risqué broke when he died in 1843?

Have you contacted the Beale families in Louisiana?
I have a friend there who is working on some papers from some of the kin of Cap Thomas Beale.
Most interesting items he found, but I don't think he has put it up on thebealepapers. com yet,
but I will ask the 13 year old handicapped boy masterpoe!!!!
He seems to be up to date on all that is going on.
The Beale's of Louisiana really have nothing to do with the Thomas J Beale character of the Beale Papers or why the Ward family had a connection to Escambia county in Florida.

As for masterpoe, it seems he has had several different personas on this threads including a Canadian, a college student taking a Beale Studies 101 course, and what you state above among others.
All he seems to be "up to date on" is disparaging other TN members and their posted information- so with all his various personas, one should accept much of what he posts as being accurate information.

When Adeline Eliza Risqué Ward inherited her father's farm upon his death in 1843, did Giles Ward pay these back taxes?
What caused James Beverly Risqué to become "broke"?

Broke or tight wad. He simply just did not pay them. He sold a house in Lynchburg so he had some money. But why he never paid his taxes, he simply just ignored them.

... the "Job Print Pamphlet" was wrote in Lynchburg, published in Lynchburg and sold in Lynchburg.
The agent for the author lived in Lynchburg.
Now the story in the "Job Print Pamphlet" hints at St. Louis and Sante Fe connections. We all have searched these locations over 25 years ago and found no connections.
So the story was made up to make money at fifty cents a copy.
Local merchants and dignitaries complained about their names being in it the book was ceased from sale and most copies burned but a few escaped through family owned copies and thus the search today.
The search was started by family kin such as the Hart Brothers which married into the family of Senator Isaac Otey. Another of his daughters married Paschal Buford the owner of the tavern where TJB said he stayed but they had already passed away before the publication or fiction story.
Still there were family that complained such as Roland Buford son of Paschal Buford and Clerk of Bedford County. If anyone knew that TJB stayed at his father's tavern he surely would have known and would have told the world that. But since he was silent he wanted the story silenced and the pamphlets were discontinued.

If you search the storyline from Lynchburg to Bedford and then to St. Louis and all points west to Sante Fe, NM you will find no story to authenticate the "Job Print Pamphlet" NONE WHATSOEVER so how can the story be true...
Which makes one think that the interest of James Beverly Ward and three of his children had in Escambia county, Florida had nothing to do with the 1885 Beale Papers, but with something that involved James Beverly Risque's during his time with Jackson's Florida Campaign.

IF... Risqué got hold of the ROYAL MINT in N.O., moving it to the "Panhandle" of Florida; no wonder that he wanted to "govern" that area after Battle of N.O./War of 1812.

The question is how could the Spanish Royal Mint exists in 1814 Baton Rouge, which now part of the US after the Louisiana Purchase?

No British Royal mint either......

The earliest mint in N.O. came after 1834, after the passing of the American currency act of 1834. Prior to this, neither Spain or the U.K. had mints in N.O., or anywhere else in Louisiana or the entire area that makes up the United States.

There seems to be s problem with your dating of the Census? The Federal Census did not start in New Orleans until August 7 1820 and ran for adout 13 months or so. And it does show Cap Thomas Beale on it. A man of his age is showing at the and a one of his wife.

I have seen posted here a probate from 1823 of two men that died in 1820. I think it would be possible for a young man to die in 1820 and then have a probate in 1823. This has been proven fact!

This sheds light on how Thomas Beale Jr could have died in September 1820 and had probate in 1823. The above attachment.

You can... BUT! Fit only for birds, rabbits, etc. Dead tree is J. B. Risque's family "connection" of rotten apples...?

WELL! PV wrote in his book about the Lafitte Bros. having their "goodies" (Spanish GOLD, SILVER, JEWELRY) at THE TEMPLE (their workshop; now a restaurant in the French Quarter, near Thomas Beale, Sr.'s Hotel (walking distance). Did J.B. Risqué, Andrew Jackson & others help the Lafitte Bros. (a MINT of sort) move such to the "Panhandle" of Florida...? Risque's Great- GrandKids ("J.B." Ward's kids) MAY have wanted some of that "Treasure"... was it buried under a FORT, then...? Enquiring minds wanna KNOW!

There is a rumor of a large treasure buried under Fort Barrancas.
