Why would there be a book review in 1893 for a book no longer available? Did not someone burn them as you have stated so many times? Or was that just more of your ..........

Even today we have book reviews of books that are no longer available, in fact we have reviews on all sorts of topics where the original source is no longer available. It's called public interest, editorials, etc., things of that very common nature. Why do we still have reviews of this book today, some 132 years after the fact?

Reread post #32 concerning the flood of human interest treasure stories that appeared in the newspapers of that period.
Also ghost and haunted house tales were popular along with séance communications as the HART PAPERS demonstrate.

Yes, M Poe real evidence and facts that can substantiate any portion of the narrative in the 1885 Beale Papers is lacking- is that why you search for and repost old threads not with the intention of adding to the conversation, but to insult various TN members who have added facts and information to the Beale discussion?

The existence of the dime novel job print pamphlet has never been in question, as it has been public domain for many years- it is the narrative content that has always been in contention due to the lack of outside collaboration of anything in the text.

Bigscoop's original statement included the highlighted portion above. I am only saying that the book/pamphlet is still available. While interesting, I would not vouch for the authenticity of its contents. I only have a slight interest in the subject but tend to find Simon Singh's interpretation in "The Code Book" to be well thought out. The rest of our attempts to figure out this "code" pale in comparison.

Interesting to note, in this modern era even these forums serve as book reviews so the entire complexion of things has changed dramatically. Back in the day these type of things could only be found in newspapers, not so today as information has become super easy to access and in great volume.
