Below is a Beale Theory/Solution graphic, the red representing all proposed Beale solutions, current and past, and the black representing the only source of the tale, the 1885 publication. Notice how there are no lines connecting the red to the black, nothing to actually connect the dots, if you will. In other words, if we remove all of the applied props and speculative evidences from all of the current and past claims of remedy then there is no actual provenance connecting any of them directly to the 1885 treasure tale. This is the reality of the situation, just as it has always been.

See that red circle, until the day comes that a line can be made from it to that black dot, there can be no solve. It's called provenance, that point at which something becomes real and/or true, without it the tale just remains another fairy-tale. So that's what I want to find, "provenance," all else is just meaningless clutter that has everyone chasing rainbows, the stars, etc., etc. :icon_thumleft:

That provenance is what we all are searching for and for the most part no one has found this provenance yet.

Not even a "most part" but rather "all parts" in regards to the said grand adventure, Thomas J. Beale, the author, the remaining ciphers, a treasure, the party, etc. All of this additional clutter that keeps getting thrown into the mix certainly isn't helping in folks quest for that provenance as it misleads, creates deception, frequently misinforms, and introduces an entire universe of unrelated and unsupported data and details. Since this mystery was put in the public eye several years back the influx of claimed solves and remedies has been staggering with new ones continually arriving on the scene, if only in slightly different form from previous claims. Yet in all of it there is nothing, not a single thread, that can be directly connected to the only source of the tale (that black dot.)

Many want to believe that I have stopped entertaining the possibilities, yet just other day a notion came to me and spent quite a bit of time locating and then reading some old material in search of a potential avenue to a possible connection, yet here again, nothing was found other then maybes, what if's, and speculative evidences. Sure it would be easy to start building a theory around these things, crafting up a solution that might even sound reasonable, but, there would still be no direct connection, no true provenance in any of it. So why add to all the existing useless clutter with more useless and meaningless clutter. Better to save one's breath of solution and remedy until there is truly something of actual value to breath.

...and that 132 years of unfound provenance does render the Beale perilous adventure and treasure story just that, a story.
