It is the same mistake they all make, thinking they can arrive at accurate solution without first having any actual facts to begin their work from. In their minds they believe that they can discover these complete unknowns during the course of their pursuit, which they cannot do without first having some related facts to incorporate into their workflow. We see this same type of blind solution chasing happen time and time again, most of it inspired by areas of personal interest rather then having been guided by any actual related fact. In the end we get all manner of randomly generated solutions, none of them relevant to the mystery at hand, but rather they are only relevant to the hopeful solver's personal workflow. Bottom line, you MUST HAVE relevant facts to work with in the beginning and the Beale mystery offers no such facts. Sad but true.

Perhaps the biggest mystery resides in the number of people who continue to come forward with unsupported claims of solves, the real mystery laying in the fact that they actually continue to believe in their completely unsupported claims, and why they do?

I mean, you would think they would have learned something from all of those other same type of failed attempts before them...apparently not. :dontknow:
