I think the key is a 13 letter word. 520 is divisible by 13 182 is divisible by 13. ( that string of alphabet starts at 183) In a a numerical way I was able to get;
age(lne)ald(eor)p
Len-ore get it?
A line in the poem has the words" Angel Paean old"
tolled by a bell ie mixed up
I can see gold coming out of that!
So the question is is it a sick joke or was he whinning about a buried treasure? Lenore wasn't his wifes name?

Take any large group of random numbers and convert them to letters and one can eventually discover all manner of curious appearing, but totally random, arrangements. Change the number/letter associations and it can be endlessly played out over and over again. It's for this very reason that folks keep finding seemingly curious, but completely insignificant, arrangements. And in fact, there have been many, nearly all in fact, who have proceeded to keep changing these number/letter associations until they get something that they desire. No doubt this manipulation will continue just as it always has. :icon_thumleft:

as Big Scoop says it keeps getting better
I tried (theta)osjeffnbeale as the key and this time I used "angel paean old' as the additive and the math greatly improved and I'm down to "3 mistakes"
c(o)hcuh (f)pah(I)be
church alphabe--(T?)

Well, uncertain if it was used that way... KEY may be CSA (Confederate States of America, during "Civil" War) NUMBERS Code, dunno.

I didn't explain myself well, so let me try again!
I used a numeric idea and the letters that came out ,8 of 13 were the letters of the DOI you might expect a couple but not 8!
so I changed the words to get out 13 of 13 not in the same order tho
FJGARAOLEFPOH
TOMJEFFNBEALE
DILGIFFHBAKEJ

for example T+F=26 so 26 goes into 30 once and a remainder of 4 or D 30 being the 183rd letter of the cypher
so I think that means TomjeffnBeale must be the key!?
so far I only got from that same stretch
gooollllddddd
tomjeffnbeale
cnbsklohancpe

Penn block cash!
maybe beale bought his pavers from the Penn block co!
For prime numbers and smaller cypher numbers than the additive I just added 26' as needed?
There still could be millions of solutions tho
