There seems to be some misunderstanding in terms when we make certain conclusions about the Beale Papers. Per example, the terms “hoax” and “fiction” are not always representative of the same thing. This same thing can be said of “inaccurate” and “not true” as they aren’t always one in the same either. We already know the distinct difference between “true” and “authentic” but it seems some are still having trouble recognizing the differences in some of these other words and the full context in which they are applied. We see this most often when someone quotes another as having said, “it’s a hoax” when in reality the statement in question was actually, “it’s fiction” or “it’s not accurate” or “it’s not true” or “it’s untrue.” So why am I bothering everyone with all of this? Because it's sometimes important to recognize these differences.....:icon_thumleft:
