In the U.S. years ago we had the "GHOST BUSTERS", but I think that Tyre Kicker can now be called an Honorary GROAT BUSTER!!
I am sorry, I just could not resist!!! Those are aw some! I realize that we don't do it for the money, but, what would you guess to be the value (USD) of that group of groats?
Thanks!~ Bob
Thanks Bob..... it's hard to put a price on the coins, they are quite a common variety but at a guess I would say no more than a $1000
turn them in?!?! to heck with that! You found them all on different days, and in different places. It weren't no hoard. I'll testify that I was there for each find and they weren't found together! Now, to get on the other side of the pond...
That is the best pocket spill or coin purse spill I have ever seen and they look to be in great shape. Hope the british museum has to pay you a fortune for them.
That is an amazing find, I am in awe, and a little jealous at the same time! Looks like a super collection of super coins! Absolutly stunning, and welld eserving of the banner. I think my wife is going to write a fictional story based on this find. There are so many different ways a purse could be lost, and her imagination is going to run wild with ideas. If it is possible, could you PM me with a general idea of what area you found these in so she can have something to work with? Thank you, and again, a hearty congratulations!
