judging by the conditions and the dates, I would say this cache was planted late 1944.

That is fascinating. Sitting here wondering what happened to the person that buried it. There could be several pots buried around the property! Congratulations on the bucket list find. Can't wait to see those bad boys cleaned up.

The guy found at lease one more cache of silver coin outa that property as I remember.

Amazing find and banner all the way. Two of us locally have found much smaller silver caches this year. Yours rocks! And yes, they are still out there. Go back to the property and see if there is more there.
