Those are 4 Great Buttons!!! You have found yourself one heck of a hill side!!! How Deep were they when you found them??? Were they all together or in different areas?? WTG If possible , can you post pics of the large cents and the reverse side of one of the buttons.........You don't find GW's every day!!!!!! Thanks Seeker

Re: 4 GW BUTTONS

Thanks for the comments on the buttons. They were found within 20 feet of each other from 2 to about 6 inches deep. Below are pictures of the large cents found there and nearby and the reverse of one of the buttons(no backmark)Only 2 of the buttons had shanks but after 200 years in the ground,I guess that's not too bad. The third picture is of other buttons found there. One button (not shown) has a london gilt backmark(interesting). Thanks for looking.MM2

Re: 4 GW BUTTONS

Big time Kudos again MM. The best find I can recall seeing in a long time anywhere on the net. I would think that they would be worth more as a collection than parting them out. Make sure you have that place picked clean before you reveal its location. WAY TO GO!!!

Re: 4 GW BUTTONS

Thanks Gypsyheart. And to think they were just sitting around my house for a couple of months.I wonder how many more of these are stored in peoples' collections that aren't recognized as GWs.
