Know wonder I can't find any silver, its all in Maryland, how do I get to Maryland from East Tenn. Ha ha. I just had a stress test today, but if I dug that I, would have to have another one. Great find.

Un-freaking-real!!! That is an amazing coin spill there, maybe even a small payroll. Makes you wonder under what scenario it was lost. Maybe it was mentioned in one of the many posts, but are there any rare dates among those coins?

I'd love to find out what the back story is for this lost treasure!!!! what was the newest year dated in the coins? it might be interesting to find out what happened in that area in mid 1800s. floods, drownings, robberies...please keep us posted on this mystery! :read2:

I keep coming back to this post just to gaze at the coins in all there splendor. That must have been some loss for the person fording that river. Maybe it was winter and recovery was impossible, Maybe they were being chased who knows. Really makes you wonder, really pulls you back in time... Thanks for sharing I can't wait to read all the details of the dig!
