    No, nothing at all.
I have the theory that it is either the entire treasure, or maybe the top items of the treasure that have been like "liftet up" maybe 30-40 cm into the soil by the plogh, maybe this year going just 10 cm´s deeper with the plough. This would also explain why we have not found it before now.
    Don´t know just a theory?

Perhaps it was wraped in a cloth or leather bag, which has since rotted away.

That thought has struck my mind too. Especially considering the way the items were laying in the hole.
As if they had been laying like in a smal bag.

Dane, I commend you for such a great find and also for calling an archeologist. Where I live (Tennessee) I would never call an archeologist. I hope that you guys have a better relationship with them than we do here in the states. We are mostly looked upon as looters and robbers. Tennessee digger

I can guarantee you of that, TD !!
We are seen as "bussiness partners". We do the hard work finding all the things, which they haven´t got the time nor the money for.
But we follow certain rules. All finds older than 1536 are delivered to the museum. All finds are registered by GPS.
We get a finders fee for our finds. (Selling finds older than 1536 is not allowed, they have to be delivered to the National Museum).
And we even are called in "as specialists" if the archaeologist are doing excavations, they know that we do that much better than they can do it !!

Exactly, I like to think of myself as a specialist, never an expert...
