To start the summer diving season our operation picked up where it left off last year. Little did we know last year, but we were only a couple days away from our biggest find yet. In almost one excavation we recovered 51 gold coins including a royal 8 escudo dated 1715, many feet of gold chain, some with the famous olive blossom design. 110 silver coins, a dozen silver buttons and various silver artifacts including forks, candle sticks and a fully intact olive jar!

I never understood that, the ship has been down there for 300 years, if they wanted the treasure so bad, they should have excavated it themselves! Not to mention the treasure was stolen from the native peoples of Central America in the first place, so Spain really has no claim to it.

I love it! I was just reading about your find the other day! Such an epic recovery!
To think you found part of the same treasure that both Blackbeard and Samuel Bellamy set out to salvage almost 300 years ago is just amazing.
The best part is that there is so much more treasure still out there to find... people will keep on finding pieces for centuries to come.
Will be hard to top this find though. :notworthy:
