I totally agree with Blak Bart on this one. With all the action listed, I would totally expect to find a hidden cache somewhere near a log cabin around there. check old maps to see if any outlines for cabins are seen. Regardless if there is a cache or not, I am sure you will find something...maybe even that 38 revolver....the plot thickens!

This is pretty awesome. I actually finally registered for this site (instead of just eyeballing) just so I could comment. My wild-a$$ guess it this letter was written to explain to the reader what might have happened if the writer ended up missing. Given the writing, I think the writer may have limited education so we may need to fudge on grammar and spelling.

Frank I think you are right...he may have been working for Frank Rolland (since Jeff found one such Frank as a reporter) so Frank would have been his "Boss"
I also think that the name beginning with a Y could be Yahudiah or Yehudiah
