TODAY WAS THE DAY!!!! GOLD COIN AT THE SHARK PIT!!!!!! UPDATED PICS!
I have been hunting the Shark Pit for 4 years now & my #1 goal has always been to find a gold coin there. WELL I JUST DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am still shaking & it's been an hour! I got out of the water so fast my legs cramped up on the way!
I have not tried to clean it yet (any help?) I wanted to show you guys first!
I had been out there for about 2 hours not really finding much when I got a light signal. It was way down in the thick mud & stuck to a crust rock on the face side. When I first saw it in my sifter I thought it was a cool token. Then I pulled it off the rock & saw the face & date (1881). Well me not really knowing coins that well, I thought it was a quarter. But then I said, Hey why is there no cookie crust on it & it's not silver It kinda looked copper Then it hit me!!!!! I was so scared I was going to lose it on the way out of the water I kept one hand on my pouch all the way to my truck!
It's seems dumb to even show the other finds of the day!
I just can't believe it!!! I remember when Lonewolfe found his gold coin next to a sidewalk a few years ago & I thought of how cool it would be to find one! Well today's the day!!!!
Thanks for looking! I'm on my way to have a steak & a few beers!!!
