Re: Any bottle diggers in S.E. Florida?

I only knew one good bottle dump in Miami. A member of the Antique Bottle Collectors Assoc. of Fla. told me about this little known, secluded, place back in the mangroves of the Oleta River lagoon, back in 1980. There was cork-tops, cobalt, milk, pottery, and all sorts of glass all over the ground, some very old black glass mixed in. You had to go at lo tide and dig into the mangrove roots... We broke so many by accident...there was acres of broken colored glass...but we recovered some nice pieces. The place looks a lot different today. I'm afraid construction might have ruined it. When I get a chance, I will try to find it. The area looks different now. Picture of small plate that was not broken I saved: My friend collected almost complete set. Does anyone know anything about it?

I live in a state of rules where I am not permitted to live on my own country land because my home is not 130 MPH rated! I can only visit it from time to time and pay the fines.  I feel so safe with Big Government protecting me. In some states its illegal to collect rainwater.

No, I do not believe it could be ivory.
