    My favorite beer bottle.

I don't keep to many crown top bottles unless there unique, but I thought this one was worth keeping. I never seen a beer company advertising that their beer is "Pure Food". I think it's from the late 30's or the 40's but I don't know for sure. If anyone knows the time frame please let me know. Thanks.

Seger I found this one in the river last year. This is the second one that I have found and I kept both of them. Maybe I'll end up with a six pack of them some day!!

This bottle looks like it is embossed on the back behind the label?

This may explain the Pure Food embossment. http://query.nytimes.com/mem/archive...649C94689ED7CF
I live in a state of rules where I am not permitted to live on my own country land because my home is not 130 MPH rated! I can only visit it from time to time and pay the fines.  I feel so safe with Big Government protecting me. In some states its illegal to collect rainwater.

Thanks for the link Bigcypresshunter. Very interesting story and now gives me some new leads to check out.

Jim What we say around here is there is a pork chop in every can. Which is pretty much the same thing but a different choice of words. Thanks for the comments.
