    questions about old bottles

I was at my Grandama's Estate Auction yesterday couldn't get any of her stuff cause state sealed the house til auction. anyways I bought alot of my Grandpa's Old bottles I don't know hardly anything at all about them..can someone please post links for old bottle prices an other links that will help me figure out which are the good ones an which ones are junk? I have way to many to take pics of but they are medicine bottles an drink (soda pop)bottles mostly.. 90% of them at least are embossed with brand nae an town an/or who bottled them..... I'm fairly sure some go back to 1800's an early 1900's some look to be blown not molded an have air bubbles in glass have one I think the glass is Lavender not sure yet cause they was never cleaned so I need to clean alot of them anyone know how to clean them without scratching inside of bottle? Thanks!

    Re: questions about old bottles

Do an eBay search for specific bottles. Look down the list of threads in this forum for tips on cleaning bottles.

The best site I've found so far about bottles in general...
    http://www.sha.org/bottle/index.htm ...very involved.

    Nothing on pricing though.

I've found this site to be very helpful for a general idea on pricing. Keep in mind there are often variations of the same bottle like color that can make a big difference on pricing sometimes
