    LID & STOPPER EXCHANGE

Got a bottle or jar that would look better on your shelf with an authentic lid or stopper? Somewhere there may be a digger who has what you need in a box of odds and ends that he's excavated. You may have a lid or stopper that he needs. Here's the thread where you can post your wants and your offerings.

We can learn how to make this work with some practice. I imagine that images and good measurements are the key to satisfactory exchanges . . . images of the bottle you want to fit with a top and images of the top you'd like to get, if you have one. (I've pulled a couple of images off past eBay auctions to illustrate what I need.)

Most lids and stoppers are low-value items, but forum policy requires us to make sales transactions by PM. I hope that most of these transactions are trades or otherwise cash-free.

I've posted this before but it will serve as an example. I would like to have a glass threaded stopper for my whiskey bottle. Here are images of the bottle and of the stopper I seek.

    Re: LID & STOPPER EXCHANGE

I offer this battery jar lid, free of charge, to anyone who can show that they own the mating jar. The lid has no value to me and I am curious to see what the jar looks like. The part of the lid that fits into the jar is 2.00" diameter. Overall diameter is 2.50". The pics make the piece look like its in bad shape but overall it's in pretty good shape, it's just crude. It does have some dings and chips. But it's free. Regards, gleaner1
