Strange medicine
These are some interesting meds. Observe the Bronchine Relief Manufacturing Co's "SPECIFIC FOR BRONCHITIS, COUGHS, CATARRH, HEMORRHAGE of the LUNGS and DYSPEPSIA. I guess you can't get more specific than that.
How about the MAGIC MOSQUITO BITE CURE & INSECT DESTROYER? Could it possibly be both?
Anyone up for some BEAVER OIL COMPOUND?
The Compound Syrup of Cephalanthus just missed the punty boy.

Re: Strange medicine
There's a group to be proud to own! Very nice glass gleaner.
I have begun to search out literature (almanacs, trade cards, memo books) that were distributed by these companies to sell these types of medicine to add to my collection. The claims in them are simply incredible. Out and out lies in most cases.
Guess some things never change...

These are interesting bottles! The Magic Mosquito Bite Cure is listed in Knapp's 2006 Price Guide at $20.00. It would be interesting to see some advertisements for this product.

Re: Strange medicine
It's a common reality that such a piece as the Magic Mosquito Bite Cure is only listed for 20 beans. This is a good lesson for beginners... seeing such a cool piece.... yet not worth much. Mine is chipped and cracked and sick making it essentially worthless. I'm taking offers....

Fascinating bottles, gleaner1. You should contact the Clute, TX Chamber of Commerce to see if you get any "bites" on your bottle.
