Hey, I found these bottles today, the brown bottle is Chattanooga Medicine company,St Louis,Mo. it is 8 1/2 inches tall.
the other is a Castor oil made by Swan Co. and is 5 1/2 inches tall. What style is this bottle?
Does anyone know how old these are?

nova, these are late 1800's. Nice finds, I really like that med. I always thought the little clear flask was strictly for booze. Nice finds, gleaner1

I've seen these little flasks with aspirin labels, and that's how I think of 'em. Apparently, aspirin was popular in liquid form in the late 1800s.

nova treasure, please refer to that killer med's color as "honey yellow" or "honey amber", not brown.
That's a nice bottle, if it was an attic-condition piece I would conservatively guess it's a 40-60 dollar bottle.

I do apologize for not giving proper title to the bottles color, It is a very nice bottle and do Appreciate and respect the wisdom you all share with Tnet.
These bottles were found in a small space under my stairwell in my 1848 home. I also have a Mercurochrome (iodine) bottle that is still corked with it's contents that I found in behind one of my mantles in the parlor. I will post a pic of this if you all might be interested.
Thank you for all your help and hope to share more bottles as I discover them. I haven't dug my privy sites yet, but do hope to soon.
