Unusual pressed "face" on a piece of glass. What is it?

I found this in an area where sand washes up a lot of artifacts along a beach. It looks like a metal press was used to make this design on the molten glass. I figure it would date from around 1850 to 1900. What do you think? I think the face may be upside down. Measures about 5 inches across and 3 inches wide. Flat surface, translucent clear. If you click the picture, it will rewindow on a larger scale.

I think that the photo is way too small.

It has a definite eastern look to it. And by eastern, I mean "Budda" face which is typically shown with closed eyes. You might search around for "Budda Bottle," "Budda Glass," "Budda Vase," ... etc.

    Good Luck !
