The Ever Changing World Of Soda Bottles

I thought it might be of interest to share this eBay link with fellow soda bottle enthusiast to let you see for yourselves a sampling of what some of those old soda bottles are selling for these days. The two connected with this link are a hard to find Mountain Dew and a rare White Lightning ... both are very sought after by collectors, and lately have commanded premium prices. So the next time you're out there poking around for whatever it is you look for, be sure and hang on to those old soda's.

Just scroll past the junk on the top of the page until you see the bottles I mentioned.

(Note: The auction on these bottles has ended.)

Thanks for looking, and have a great Holiday Season!

that was a cool bottle. We used to never keep any of the painted ones. Maybe an orange crush. Lots of dr.Peppers with the clock numbers. Thanks

The bottles are a funny thing. I was pickier as a kid than I am now.

    Oh, the stuff I left............

    Forgive me, Lord.

I always like the embosed dr peppers with the 10-2-and 4 raised letters. Yeah should have kept everything in its day. Wooo is me.

One a side note, I noticed that when bottled water came out, the plastics were well made. But since then, they're much thinner and the cap on top is cheaper than ever. Sheesh, are they not making enough money from selling water?

Here's a couple of photos of old Dr. Pepper bottles.

The first is the older (1920s-40s) embossed version, with a value of about $20.00. And the second is the more common (1950s-60s), painted label version, with a value of about $10.00.
