For 15.00. The owner said it was dug in a creek in our town. He had it marked at chinese. I know that they were chinese imigrants here long ago.... BUT i do not think they would put a star on there stoneware. If anyone can tell me its age and value that would be great! Also anything you know about it!!
I think this form is called a "tiger whiskey" jug. I believe that it is Chinese.

Hi tattooedmomma, Ive found a few Tiger Whiskey bottles the last little while. One of them did not have any stampings on it and one did. Yours has a star shape and mine has a different looking shape than yours. Im wondering if these are the makers identification marks? I personally dug mine and other bottles that I dug beside them were from around 1905. Your looks like its in good shape. Heres a picture of mine that has the identification mark in it. Thanks.
