Found these in the most recent privy dig. I think it was a late 1800's pit as far as the finds go. Some were dated near the 1920 era as well. The one that has me mystified is the embossed amber quart. Can't figure out who or what company would have made this ornate embossing. Hopefully someone can help me out. These were all found in South Bend Indiana. So not sure if it is a "late throw" or even from around here. The others are the Hutch Dowagiac Bottling Works, Muessel Brewing, Citrate of Magnesia, Bromate and the "Baby Killer" Syrup Mrs. Winslows. I hope that someone can date the embossed one that I spoke of above as well. I spoke to an experienced digger and he cannot explain the top on it either. HELP PLEASE. Thanks for looking. jgas

Hey Jeff, the Coca Cola bottle is in very good condition. It has the usual white haze that a minimum tumbling would take care of. No cracks or chips but a lot of smaller bubbles. It has the word ROOT on the base as well as the # 986 along the bottom. Its in a bit better shape than the South Bend Bottling Company one I found. Thanks for the reply. jgas
