    Cleaning Bottles by Boiling

I have four bottles that I need to clean, and I was wondering if it is okay to clean them by boiling them in hot water. I believe they date back the 1950s and their made by Douglas.

I never tried to boil bottles to clean them, i would think there is a better chance for them to crack if you do, not sure but thats what I think might happen. from my own experience, Ive dug old bottles and had some nice ones crack after cleaning them in tap hot water. Good luck.

I use THE WORKS toilet cleaner ( buy it at dollar tree)... you fill bucket with water add the cleaner to water as much as u think is needed... then place the bottles in the water let soak 2-3 days or til they look clean... some will need to be brush cleaned after rise... you want to clean as soon as you take out of soak... On more thing... Never use bare hands when using this stuff or you will get mild chemical burning to your skin....
