found this today while i was detecting. can anybody tell me what this is, and if its old? I prolly just gonna give it to my dad he collects old brown glasses on the bottom it says PAT. PEND. it has a symbol in the middle with 17 on the left side and 72 on the right but i know its not that old because it says no deposite. thanks for looking
caveman, I have never seen one exactly like this but it looks like a modern piece. Harry Pristis has an outstanding collection of the really old ones, say mid 1800s or so.
