I found this bottle at a antique group shop in Maine. I purchased it not knowing if it was a repro or real deal for under $75.00. It was real and one of the crudest, nicest color bottles I have ever seen. I kept it for a year and planned on keeping it for many more. Until I broke a $100.00 bottle will cleaning my bottle cabinet. I decided to sell the Booz while it was still in one piece. It went for $1500.50 on ebay and would have gone for more if it wasnt for a tiny corner flake. I made a nice profit, but the person I sold it to got a gem of a bottle and I will always remember how awesome it was and such a rare find.

I have the same bottle, but it is a purple color. Why did it go for so much? I did some research on mine and have not had it priced anywhere near $1200

The one you have is a reproduction, made very similar to the original. As far as I know originals were not made in purple glass. Most originals were made in amber and I have heard there were a few in aqua color glass which I have never seen. Originals are very scarce and bring in good money when sold. Reproductions are very common in this bottle with purple , bright greens, yellows, colbalt blues, ice blues, amber, aquas ect...and flood the market. Most average in the price range of $10.00 to $20.00 but I have seen a few earlier repros go for $200.00 to $400.00

I.C. You are right for sure! I just came across a site with detailed info on this bottle. They claim that this is the most widely reproducted bottle in history.

I did fiond mine diggin an old dump, so I might take it to a specialist to make sure, but Im 99.9 sure its a reproduction.
