Pick this up today.. anyone know why thereis a moxie label on it the bottom is dated 1969

I haven't cruised the bottle section lately and just now saw this thread. My initial reaction is that it is simply the result of someone messing around. The Moxie label has a bar code and the Shep's bottle predates that. Bottles like that show up on e-bay from time to time and the sellers try and pass them off to the unsuspecting buyers as something special when they are not. I believe you can still buy Moxie at some stores like Bevmo's. To be honest with you, if it were mine I would remove the Moxie label and just keep the Shep's bottle which is cool all by itself.

The top picture is of a Moxie bottle I have - dated 1950 and worth about $10.00. The second picture is of just about every type of Moxie bottle ever made, which date back to the late 1800s. (Not my collection - but I wish it were).

I have a moxie bottle... I am at work so can't look now, but I think it's a MOXIE NERVE FOOD / TRADE MARK / REGISTERED if I remember right it is a teal color
