"Genuine Boyd's Cap For Mason Jar" Lid Liner

Found this in a creek. Any info on this would be greatly appreciated. I seen a few on ebay for a few bucks each.

Anyone have any info, history on this?

    Those are pretty but common..

Old dumpsites hold lots of them. The site I'm working has thousands. But they're made out of milk glass and I keep every one of them. There might be an old dumpsite very close to where you found the object. I would look for that.

I am willing to bet 10-1 odds there is a surface dump somewhere close....

They have to be a dime a dozen. We find so many that we only keep a new find if it has a design or style we don't already have.

The mark in the center is from the Hazel-Atlas Glass Company (1902-1964).

The mark was first used in 1923, so this gives youy a date range for your cap.

This information comes from the following website

    Hope this helps!

Found seven of these just yesterday while detecting at an early 1900s home site ( house was torn down in the 70s ). Thanks for the info, folks.
