I'm here in GA, but I'm new to this. What's a privy dig? I would like to get something together with several of you guys. I just enjoy going out looking for artifacts. Rubber boots, shovel, boat, sifter, or whatever.

go to youtube.com and search "privy dig" and watch one. warning. you may be hooked afterwards. i haven't tried it yet myself, but i'm dam sure looking. and today may be the day. i'll take pics if it's a privy for everyone. goood luck

I live in NE GA, and funny you should mention it, but I scouted out a privy just yesterday. Property owner is cool with digging there if you are interested. I have never dug one. I like you pit avatar BTW.

I too would be interested in going on bottle digs or even searching rivers. I have not done either, but want to give it a shot. I am in Savannah.
