No, not pontil-scarred. The thin, irregular, usually off-center ring on the base is a valve mark from the automatic bottle machine.
Here's what to look for:

I wasn't aware of the rectangular Lorillard bottle; but, my round jar is a favorite.

all of you nice bottles have not found any of that type here in mid Tn. maybe just looking in wrong places. if you got to town once a month or two you would get the bigest size of any thing you wanted. Terry
