Have you tried dating the other items that were found with this jar? :dontknow:

Even if there were just a few peices of broken glass, sometimes they can provide all the clues you need!

I have found really old stuff in new dumps and really new stuff in old dumps. I have never seen or heard of that crock. Nice find glassman. :icon_thumleft:

I did check the site but all they had was a brown and white tone crock no blue and brown tone crock 's the date around 1880 all the glass shards in the dump ranged from 1860 to 1900?
