    Broken goodies!

I dug two privies and there was a broken flask in each hole. The first is a yellow Washington & Taylor made at the Dyottville Glassworks. The second one is a light blue Washington & Eagle. The insulator is olive green and threadless. I hope for better luck next time. Thanks for looking! DD.

On a scale of 1 to 10 for broken goodies, those shards rate a good solid ten. I am crying just looking at them.

    Wow, those are all heartbreakers.

Looks like the insulator is most likely a CD731. Hard to tell from the angle of the photo, I can't tell if that little bit of the skirt is concave or not. Depending on the color, if whole, it would have been a $500+ insulator.

    Keep digging.

I dug up part of a 1920's orange crush bottle by my drive way.

    Dave,

I dug a similar insulator a while back with about the same amount of damage. I threw it on Ebay and got $50 for it. Granted, that was back when times were good. I was sad too see the flasks though...they sure would have been nice!
