Hello All,

I know that here in the South, some of the sites are mixed sites, with multiple layers of occupation. I indiscriminately picked up anything colorful I saw in the field during the hunt. Can anyone give me an approximate age range on the majority of this pottery?

Thank you so much,

Buckles

Hey Buckles that sure looks quite a bit like most of the pottery stoneware things we dig that date to anywhere from 1830s to the 1890 era. That would be my best guess just by the patterns. Makers marks of course would help greatly but I am pretty confident on most of the items you have there, but I am no expert by any means. Find the Pit and I will come dig it :tongue3: Regards, jgas

Go back and pick up some glass shards. If you can find either the top or bottom of a bottle we can provide much better estimates! :read2:
