Help from Bottle Digger's please!

I came across this bluish-green bottle. It is what they call a attic find. Great condition. I checked some bottle sites and It has a open pontil on the bottom, no mold seems and a tooled top. The top is not exactly perfect, but is close. I will leave it up to you experts to let me know what you think.

I don't think this vase is very old, but who knows. It's not a bottle-collecting item.

I agree with Harry, looks like something from Pier 1 Imports....

I'd have to agree with Harry and Jim on this one. It looks way too much like stuff that gets made every day by contemporary glass blowers.

On the other hand, if you had dug this up in an 1830's era outhouse I would say that it was worth quite a bit!

There is a slight possibility that this is in fact an old collectible bottle, but to prove it would require you to find an identicle bottle that was datable.......probably not going to happen if Harry doesn't recognize it!!!

Actually i have seen this kind of bottle before.There are repos out there so you must be careful.i use to be in a bottle club when i was younger for many many years in southern NJ and have come across this type of bottle-that mark on the bottom is where they(the glassmakers)would have cut it off when they were blowing into the bottle to make the shape of it.It was either in a mold or hand blown although the marks on the side of the bottle suggest that they blown the bottle into a mold then did the top of the bottle by hand( i dont see a top-view in the picture that you took).Either way,it looks too good,usually a old bottle like that would have some age to it however there are some bottle-cleaning machines out there that after they are done with the cleaning of the bottle,they look like that.But i would do more research on the bottle and the history of the site(if any) to get more info on that type of bottle-have fun
