Hoping to find out if this is a good one or a plain-jane? J.E. COMBAULT'S CAUSTIC BALSAM. On both sides the raised lettering proclaims, THE LAWRENCE.WILLIAMS CO SOLD PROP'S FOR U.S. AND CANADA. Anyone seen these?
Thank you guys! Did a search on eBay and found two. They wanted $9.95 + shipping...no bids. Oh well, it looks nice on my "whatnot" shelf.Fairly easy to come by, they bring about $5-10 bucks if they sell on Ebay...
Hello TrickyVik, It's ironic. I noticed that also and the seam is angled. Bottles are not in my ares of expertise but, I think the old ones are very cool. What can you tell me about this one? Thank you.I'll buy the six sided.

Thank you Surf, I'm wondering about the, "Sold Prop's for U.S. and Canada", proclamation? Were they talking about aircraft propellers?Hello TrickyVik,
That, I'm sorry to say, is utter balderdash. May I suggest an extended visit to Historic Bottle Website - Homepage

Hello Paleopilot,
Gombault's Caustic Balsam is a veterinary medicine.
"Gombault's Caustic balsam was a famous French Veterinary remedy that became quite popular in the United States through marketing by the Lawrence Williams Company of Ohio. This is basically a counter-irritant type of mediciation. It is thought that the formula for this medication is similar to the below as written in the Physicican's Formulary of 1912..." Gombaults
Not sure what they mean, "PROP'S". If it were propellers, you wouldn't need the hyphen.
Thank you!Hey Paleopilot,
"Prop's" is a 19th Century abbreviation for "Proprietors."
Have a look at Matt Knapp's listing for your bottle:
