I collect a different variety of bottles but in time would like to center it on just flasks. Who Im I kidding that will probably never happen.

Here's a nice Stoddard Glass bottle. It was the first flask I ever purchased.
We had similar tastes (when we were young), 'undertaker' . . . a similar flask may have been one of the first I bought. Mine was still in very tight wicker, and I sometimes regret removing it. ((can't upload an image for some reason))

Hey Rebel.

Man, that is a fine looking flask! Scarce too, I believe. Anything on Grover's obverse? I wanna see more pictures, please, and hear more about it's discovery...

So I don't hijack this thread let me get it back here and take some current photos and I'll re-post it in a new one with the story.

I have been digging a bottle dump the last couple of weeks from my great uncle when time permits. Here are two of the flask from there. The green one may have about an 1/8th of an inch gap on the inside walls. Though the lips are similar I think the manufacture is different. I always enjoy seeing the flask.

Thanks for posting your finds, 'Tnmountains; . . . I've seen those lip finishes described as "brandy finishes." Here's a pair of tiny flask - one with a brandy finish - that may have been whiskey nips OR they may have held essence of Jamaica ginger.

Yeah, I wish I had one of those too. Can you imagine pulling that from an old privy? Heart stopper.

Heres one that a buddy of mine picked up at a yard sale. If I remember right he said that it cost him $10.

That last flask, Road Dog . . . is that one of the little (4.8") flasks like I posted above? Does it have a circular label window on the other side? Does the dose glass contain a shot (1.5 oz)? I had no idea that there might be a dose glass go-with.

No it's a much larger Flask. Similar style though.
