Hey everyone. I've been a little too busy in the past few months to do any bottle hunting or posting, but I have been keeping up with the threads. Here are some bottles from a recent hunt. Going left to right on the top row: a milk from a local dairy embossed Round Hill Farms, a dark olivish/amberish liquor with a very cool applied top and in a three piece mold (no embossing), a big amber liquor with a tooled top (no embossing), another Gaelic Old Smuggler in a three piece mold (I've found one before), and a light aqua tooled liquor (unembossed, probably use for displays). Then on the bottom row: two Excelsior Brewing Co's from Brooklyn. One is a pale aqua while the other is brighter. In faint embossing on the bottom they have N.B.B.G.Co which is for North Baltimore Bottle Glass Co, based in OH and IN. Both are tooled. The last is a tooled amber beer embossed with SB & GCo on the bottom for Streator Bottle & Glass Co. out of IL. I'm not sure why I get so many Midwestern manufactured bottles in CT. Also I have what I think is an old light bulb, broken. Info on that would be appreciated. Thanks.

The broken bottle is a Chianti wine that was wrapped in reeds to give it a flat bottom...

About how old are they? This one has bubbles and heavy glass.

you know....it seems kinda small for a Chianti bottle....couldn't it be a broken fire extinguisher bomb?

You can find them in different sizes, fire grenades in that form are much thinner glass...

I can't believe that I did this, but I posted the wrong manufacturer for the excelsior beers. The real manufacturer is B.& M. S. Co- Bottler's and Manufacturer's Company, Long Island City, New York. That makes more sense. The manufacturer I originally posted is for this bottle from Stamford, CT.
