New Canaan Drug Store Bottle
Found this in my TOC dump. Front says: New Canaan Drug Store and L. M. MONROE Sr & Jr PHARMACISTS. and the bottom days M8 and USA 8. It's a cork top.

Interesting for a couple of reasons: Back in the day I lived in New Canaan; on Ponus Ridge Road and on Fox Run Road; graduated from NCHS.
The Era Druggists' Directory (Vol. 18, 1916) lists these pharmacists in New Canaan.
Don.......
PS: I suggest you contact this expert for more information: bergsengs@comcast.net. He has also handled this same bottle.
PPS: They are also shown in another book as being pharmacists in NC in 1909.

 Fly Navy!
Just for the heck of it - you should jump over to New Canaan Drug Store - New Canaan, CT and see if they are the same company...

Crazy, I live right over the border of NC in Stamford. I got the exact same thing too, except mine is a different company. They apparently have a model drugstore from the 1800s at the historical society in NC, but I haven't been inside. I'll post details and pics about my bottle soon.

Crazy, for sure.
That New Canaan Drug Store address (91 Main St.) is less than a block from where my g/f used to live--at 149 Main St.
There may be more coincidences--I'm verifying and will add if they are correct.

Neat. I dug mine at a farm dump in Stamford right near the border. The closest drugstore for the farmers was probably that one in NC.

J. J. Cody appears in the 1903 Conn. State Registry and Manual as being in New Canaan.
