"Billhead of I. L. LYONS, Wholesale Druggist and Importer, New Orleans, is dated March, 1880. Lyons was the manufacturer of Garry Owen Strengthening Bitters." Garry Owen Bitters Druggists Letterhead I L Lyons New Orleans 1880 | eBay

Hey bass,

Excellent digging, sir. I am so looking forward to seeing the after bath photos, especially the bitters and cone.

See this ad: The Texas Almanac for 1870, and Emigrant's Guide to Texas, Page: 239 | The Portal to Texas History and, don't forget this one from the Visitor's Guide to New Orleans, 1875: Visitor's guide to New Orleans. November, 1875...

Is it McCulley made?

The white piece with bow is a partial doll leg.

Surf, thanks for the "bitter's education." I didn't realize it would cure snakebites, lol. Mr. Owen was definitely optimistic about his recipe. Yes, it is McCully. When would you date this bottle? I'm wondering if it could be a late throw, since there was newer material found below it. Thanks for clearing up the mystery concerning the doll's leg. I'm nearly done cleaning the bitters and will get pictures for you tomorrow in natural light. Thanks again, B. A.

The bitters cleaned up pretty hood, no chips cracks or flea bites. The carters ink has a chip on the lip. Thats 13 total bottles from the 1 pit.

Hey bass,

The closest I can date it is 1870-1875. Thanks for the cleaned up photos. What are those two flint meds on the right in your group photo?

Here's some photos on the 2 pieces from saturday. Uncle Mac, when i first saw the long tapered piece my first impression was a firehouse nozzle as well. It measures about 7.5 inches and has a threaded male fitting and the tip also has a threaded male fitting . The other pc is ornamental and had a threaded male fitting as well. If we can't figure them out, i'll post them in the what is it section. Thanks, B. A.
