Friend's White Horse Distillers bottle

A friend of mine from Canada who lives in Saint John showed me a picture of bottle she found on the woods and at first I thought it looked like a screw type but she said it had a lever sort of top?Does anyone know anything about these. She said the writing on the bottle said White Horse Distillers,ltd. and Glasgow !Scotland.There is an etched horse on the bottom part of the bottle and she said there were also several numbers on the bottle.

Hello Coily,

It's a Scotch whisky bottle, with what appears to be a Kork-n-Seal Closure on the screw top.

Closure Types

I don't believe the white horse was etched, but rather an ACL type paint.

Yes,I'll ask her to but it will be tomorrow most likely. Today we found a bottle at the site of an old house and my husband thinks we might possibly be on top of a privy or trash pit.Finally! Not really sure how to proceed as these are rental houses.The bottle he dug was around 2 or three inches down,it was clear,had a neat lip on it and 30 S was on the base.It may not be really old but further down we might find older stuff.The probe went down with no problem in the spot we are on but hit what we think are sides of the privy or dump.Here's a picture if the lip of the bottle.It's soaking right now.
