Looks similar to a CD 731, I don't see any in amber on Ebay, could be a nice chuck o' change if you sell it. Hopefully someone more knowledgable will chime in...

Whatever it is, it's certainly a nice one and in good condition. Did you buy it or find it?

That's weird though. I would think that some other insulators would be nearby from a pole somewhere. I hope someone can help you ID it.

Morning,

Yup, EPackage is correct, CD145. Bout the best you can hope for with that embossing (not a Petticoat) would be if it had some junk in the glass. Coin, nail, rock or whatever. The bigger the better.
ulk
Bottlehunter of cosco--I do still have a few insulators over at moms. I sold the bulk of them a few yrs back, couple different times. I guess at one time the collection was worth $60 grand or so. Sure i can dig up some pictures at some point.

Nice insulator! I don't have any as nice as this one! But....

Not that I expect anyone to believe this ...But Very First Insulator I found while hiking abandoned area was a.....

CD 109.5 Harloe!! yeaaaa......at the time I didn't know what the hell it was just that it was neat. Well after awhile some guy of a friend , told us "oh that just some old glass insulator for the railroad aka JUNK!!.........well I got tired of carrying in my backpack, so one day we decide to just chuck the old piece of glass back into the woods along the river. whoooops:BangHead:

Later I found out which type it was, what it was worth and will NEVER forget it! when you hold your first all glass 3 PRONG Crowned Insulator its unmistakable! it looks like 3 Claws on the top, that's why I thought it was so neat in the first place! actually its the only one with the 3 prongs that I know of that looks like that, which makes it so easy to remember and identify. yepppp had it held it and chucked it without a clue!

look the price up on one of those, matter fact there's one on ebay right now!

I still shake my head!
