It would be neat to see everyone's favorite acquisition of 2013, whether you found it, bought it, traded for it or however you acquired it. Any type of bottle, jar, demijohn, etc.. For me it has to be my Garry Owen Strengthening Bitters, New Orleans, that i dug a couple of months ago. Please limit your choice to one piece. Can i get anyone to play along?

I just bought one, that I remember, a classic late 18th century case gin bottle.

Mine would have to be a Red Jacket Bitters from Chicago with its original label! But I have a lot to choose from so it was hard!

Well I had a banner year so I can't choose just one, so I'll start with this pair of Alfred Speer's cylinders I picked up from a new friend on FB, they are from Passaic NJ one of the other local towns/cities I collect from...

Sorry guys I couldn't pick just one. My favorite find is this t canty winsted con hutch made by k hutter of New York this is the bottle that started it all for me. I also can't forget about the pitkin ink though no longer in my possession this bottle opened the door to marking a few friends such as Norman heckler. that know there stuff and have helped educate me. And I doubt I will ever recover an other. I would also like to thank all you guys Down in the basement for all your help Happy New Years and keep them coming - Justin

Here are a couple I found this past year. I know these case gins are pretty common but it was my first whole one and the Reeds was cool because it's a different mold than the other one that I found a few years ago. Nice bottles everyone.

Alright my favorite find has to be my Honesdale Mineral Water. My favorite buy has to be my Dunham's medicine just because of the deal I got on it and its value.

Dug this with one other rare bottle on the same day. It will be hard for me to beat.
F.M. Streamer, Druggist, Boulder Colo., Citrate of Magnesia.
Only one other known to exist. the gentleman that I sold it to had a chance about 20 years ago
to purchase it in a collection, but was in his teens, and just didn't have the money to do so.
Felt good to let him have it, that's way too long to be reminiscing and hoping to have a chance to obtain another.
And frankly, I was too nervous to even hold the thing when I found out how rare it is.
Carl

This one is really interesting to me. We have a place called Spa Srings which was just out side a town called Middleton, This spring was very popular in the 1800s and they use to bottle the water and ship it all over the world.
Do you know the origin of this bottle?
