Ogden's Mineral Water

Here's a beauty of a mineral water I just picked up. It reads JOHN OGDEN'S MINERAL WATER PITTSBURG and has a fancy O on the back. It is iron pontiled and in perfect shape except for some lip damage. Anybody know of this one and have info and possible value? Thanks in advance!

I understand about the photos, just wanted to get it on here as soon as possible. If that says $800 like I'm seeing I really scored because I got it on ebay for $35. I can't see the worthpoint because I'm not a member. I'll get good photos as soon as I can. Thanks surf!

Bhofcc, nice early blob. She's a beauty. How's your cabin fever holding up?

Hey surf I'm not sure if we're looking at the same auction result but the one I found had a final bid of $50. I don't think either two of the lot were my exact bottle though. That ad is neat and thanks for the info. Bass, cabin fever's been terrible these days with a few scouting missions, but with temperatures so cold (in the single digits yesterday and today), ebay has been my way to get my bottle fix.

I kinda figured thats what you were doing. Its the complete opposite in my part of the country, now is the time of year for bottle hunting. I have some vacation in my back pocket that i plan to use late february or early march.

That was a bum link, bhofcc, sorry. You may be quite right. The unpictured lot had this text:

"497. (Lot of 2) “J. OGDEN’S / MINERAL WATER / PITTS - O”, and a “JOHN OGDEN & CO. / NO. 187 / FIRST STREET - CHAMPAIGN / CIDER / PITTSBURGH”, Pennsylvania, ca. 1840 - 1860, deep bluish aqua, 7 1/4” and 7 1/2”h, iron pontils, applied mouths. Both have been cleaned to their original luster but retains a number of ground imperfections.
Winning Bid: $ 50 (2 Bids)

Estimate: $ 100 - $ 150" Glass Works Auctions - Catalog Lots and Titles containing partial word: "mineral" - Glass Works Auctions

You did ok on it, the one with the taper top is the better seller, in the $150-200 range...

I see Kovel's says the same value, about $150. Any idea on why the link Surf first posted said $800?
